MORE ABOUT THE CAMPSITE
The Mushroom Farm Campsite feels like a proper pioneering camp. You'll be completely off-grid on the edge of an 11-acre mushroom farm in the beautiful Rutland countryside. This is not a manicured site and you’ll be sharing it with wildlife – frequent visitors include songbirds, red kites, kestrels, owls, bats, lizards, frogs and toads, snakes, rabbits and hares, muntjac deer, mice, foxes, dragonflies, butterflies, moths and beetles.
Only a 15-minute drive away from Rutland Water, and 20 minutes to Belvoir Castle there is so much to see and do in Rutland.
WHERE IS THE FARM?
The Farm is located at the end of School Lane in the quiet country village of Thistleton, Rutland.
HOW TO ACCESS THE SITE
The site is secured by a gate and lock. Guests are given a number code for the gate.

WHAT ARE THE TENTSÂ LIKE?
The galamping tent is a spacious pitch with a canvas tent, a comfy double air mattress with super fluffy bedding and two single air beds with fluffy bedding. (please bring your own roll mat, sleeping bag and towel for any extra people).
WHAT ELSE IS ON THE PITCH?
The glamping pitch has a spot for a campfire, a cooking shelter, gas stove, kitchen utensils and crockery. The pitch has it's very own private bucket shower, composting toilet and solar lights. Water is provided in large water containers. The pitch your own tents are provided with; water in containers and bin bags. They have shared use of composting toilets and a solar showers.
IS THE CAMPSITE SUITABLE FOR ANYONE?
The camp is set on a mushroom farm with the young trees and large areas left to rewild. This means flowering thistles and uneven ground so it may not be suitable for babies, very young children or people with health conditions.
WHAT'S THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE?
Our pitches are very spacious so if you're family is a little bigger or you want to bring along a few friends there's space for extra tents. Get in touch to let us know your requirements and we'll see how we can accommodate you.
